OshiAtlas is operated by Building Buddies LLC. Browsing, following favorites, convention discovery, and private photo features work without an account. Community posting requires Apple sign-in on iPhone or a device-based community profile on Android.
Information stored on your device
OshiAtlas stores followed profiles, saved conventions, your selected home state, a profile photo you choose, and your cosplay photo and caption on your device. Building Buddies LLC does not receive those device-only choices through the app.
Photos
Photo-library access is optional and begins only after you tap to choose a profile or cosplay photo. Selected photos are copied into the app’s private local storage. They are not uploaded, analyzed, published, or shared by OshiAtlas.
Location
Location access is optional and requested only when you choose the nearby-conventions feature. OshiAtlas asks your device's location services to determine a U.S. state and stores only the resulting state code on your device. Precise coordinates are not retained or sent to OshiAtlas or Building Buddies LLC systems; your device platform may process them under its own privacy terms.
External links
Official-source, convention, and retailer links open websites operated by other organizations. Those sites receive information according to their own privacy policies after you choose to leave OshiAtlas. OshiAtlas does not earn a commission from the listed cosplay retailers.
Community accounts and boards
If you choose to join a convention board, OshiAtlas stores an account identifier, your display name, board memberships, notification preferences, terms acceptance, posts, replies, reports, and blocks. On iPhone, Apple sign-in may also provide an email address. On Android, a random account key is created and protected on your device; no email is required. Other members can see your display name, posts, and replies. Your email and private account identifiers are not displayed publicly.
Board content is filtered and rate-limited. Members can report content, block other members, and delete their own posts. Reports and related records may be reviewed to operate the safety system. Reply alerts are limited to replies made to a post you created and are checked when you use OshiAtlas.
Analytics and advertising
OshiAtlas does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking SDKs.
Retention and deletion
On-device information remains until you remove it, delete the app, or use Delete all my data from the Profile tab. If you have a community account, that control also deletes the account, its sessions, memberships, posts, replies, reports, and blocks from OshiAtlas systems. You can also use the web deletion request page if you cannot access the app.
Children
OshiAtlas is a general-audience reference and planning app and is not directed to children under 13. People under 13 must not create a community account or post to convention boards.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
